New home of my animergif, or animated mermaid gif, collection. The mermaid is my webpage avatar, and I use these as sort of website emoticons. All of the animations are directly on the page, so prepared to have your eyes boggled. Each mermaid was created start to finish using Paintshop Pro 7 and Animation Shop 3, completed 2002-through-present. |

Dragon in black and white inks. I may one day color it, but I actually rather like it as-is, so I wouldn't count on it. Sketched in pencil, inked with something. Completed 1999. |

Female demon in a curled position. Looking at this, I see all sorts of technical problems, and it's kind of sketchy, but I like the picture anyway, and thus I'm sharing. Pencil and colored pencil, done 1999. |

A mermaid sitting on a rock, looking out on the water. I've always liked the mood of this picture. Sketched in pencil, colored with Prismacolors. Completed 1999. |

Acantha Guardsman, a fighter/investigator (read: "cop") I play in a weekly D&D 3.5 game. A very brown character. Sketched on paper, inked and colored with computer. The eyes are off, and I seem to be showcasing my utter inability to draw hands, but I really like the pose, and I think this is one of my better computer-coloring jobs. Plus my crappy backgrounds seem to be improving a bit. Completed 2004. |

Just a random angel, drawn because I like drawing flying things. Sketched by hand, scanned, inked in Paintshop Pro 7 (because I find that interface easier to use for inking purposes), colored in Photoshop 7, background from a picture I took out the window of an airplane. S'got a few things I'm not thrilled about in it, and I've never been much for drawing realistic looking wings, but boy are they fluffy looking! Completed in 2004. |

This is the initial line drawing for the first frame of my "Kiss My Tail Fin" animation. Obviously, I belong to the 'Scribble Some Lines And Hope They Look Like A Mermaid' school of digital-mermaid-art. Still, there's something about this that really appeals to me. As much as I like finished pictures, I tend to find the halfway points both attractive and fascinating in their own way. Done using Paintshop Pro 7, completed 2002. |

This is the full-sized original of my 'Confuse Merwench' Animergif, before I thickened the lines. It's... kind of cute. Included because it's a rare example of a picture that was done completely on the computer, vice sketched and scanned. Done using Paintshop Pro 7, completed 2002. |

Pirates are almost fantasy, right? Anyway, this was me, being a smart-ass during my first deployment. Basically, we had just gotten a new captain who was a lot stricter than the old one about what uniforms were to be worn when, and he'd use as his slogan "There will be no pirates on board my ship!" So of course, every time he said that, half the squids at the Captain's Call would say "Arrr!" Sketched with pencil, inked, colored using Paintshop Pro, completed 2001. |

Fire Elemental, done during my first deployment. Figure was sketched on paper and inked, colors were done using Paintshop Pro 7. I believe it was my first completed computer-coloring job. Completed 2001. |
