Refinery Loss                      Sat Mar 26    Scourge
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<< The 'Con spinny appears, then is replaced by Scourge >>

"Last cycle, the Autobots managed to destroy one of our refineries in Carbombya. Their assault near Trypticon, which consisted of an Aerialbot (OOC: Air Raid) and EDC Commander Briar in his exo-suit, was a diversionary ruse. Trooper Fleet engaged the Aerialbot, while I dealt rather decisively with Briar before he retreated.
"Before departure, Briar attempted to insinuate that Wildrider was doing something in the destroyed refinery before it was detonated. A Decepticon emblem was recovered... strangely intact, given the blast. I believe, however, that the Autobots infiltrated the refinery, whether due to lax security measures or some other factor I will not speculate, and left the emblem there in an attempt to bolster their ludicrous claims. Wildrider may be many things, but even he is not a complete imbecile... I doubt someone would be so slagging idiotic that they would risk death to help the Autobots. Repair crews, rebuild the refinery. Lord Galvatron will not be pleased at the setback to recouping our energon stores. Scourge out!"

<Decepticon> Wildrider says, "I didn't do it and there's nothing anyone can say to prove I did it!"

<Decepticon> Soundwave says, "Acknowledged, Wildrider."

<Decepticon> Soundwave says, "Now report to Trypticon Medical for scheduled maintenance."

<Decepticon> Wildrider says, "Yeah...so, that's it then?  I 'knew' the autobots were out to get me.  Hehehe, still, that was a great explosion.  Nice and firebally.  Hum, come to think of it, someone did go to a lot of trouble to make it like my work.  Maybe I did do it.  Hehehe."

<Decepticon> Wildrider says, "Medical?  Yeah, I suppose.  I need my mileage rolled back."

Transmission from Soundwave: Long Haul. I require your abilities in Trypticon's Medical Ward.

Trypticon Medical Bay

Several operating tables are set in a row here, and long benches line the walls. On these benches are assorted tools and equipment used in repairing damaged Decepticons. The benches near the door are for patients waiting their turn for treatment. Scattered throughout the room are various repair droids, awaiting the arrival of more wounded to repair. The room gives you the perception of being immaculately clean, with not a single tool out of place. Your olfactory sensors pick up the faint odor of the cleansing solutions used to keep the room clean and sanitary.

Obvious exits:

East <E> leads to Trypticon Laboratory.

West <W> leads to Trypticon Main Hallway.

Wildrider steps into the medical bay, he pokes his head in first and looks around quickly, just in case someone's waiting next to the door with a hammer or something for Wildrider. It's way too quiet in here.

For some reason, most of the on-duty technicians are changing shifts, as many of them are leaving. Hey, but where are the replacement rostered-on medics? And why are all the departing technicians looking more worried, than glad that their shift is over? There's just people leaving! Welll, except for one. Soundwave.

The Tape Commander is holding a series of technical apparatus . Many of which appear to be too complex.. and too sinister... for rudimentary service work. Soundwave heard Wildrider's slightly erratic approach seconds before Wildrider's head pokes through the door. "Wildrider. Be seated." Soundwave points to a ward bed in slightly better condition than the rest. Not because it is a newer installation, because hardly anyone ever uses it. All of the large clamps and straps that are there to secure the patient down will attest to that.

Wildrider eyes the clamps and straps on the ward bed and then looks up at Soundwave with a paranoid optic. You know the kind, one bigger than the other? Yeah, that's the one. He says, "Hey, you said I was coming in for maintenance. What's with the straps? You think I'm going to get away or something Soundwave?" He gives a small snicker and then looks around. Why has it gotten even more quieter in here?

Someone requires Long Haul's abilities! Which usually means that someone wants something moved. The Constructicon is hoping that this is /not/ the case, because right now he's still technically not allowed to haul, as per Hook's orders, and while Soundwave certainly outranks Hook, this is a medical matter. Either way, he trudges in, stance more than a bit belligerent at having been dragged in from his very important NON HAULING work rebuilding a certain refinery.

Soundwave forgets that you sometimes have to repeat your requests to a Stunticon. "Be seated." He says, with exactly the same volume and tonal infliction (Such that it is for as sexy a voice as Soundwave's.) And as the lime green one arrives, Soundwave puts all grudges aside. Well, since he is the one bossing around Long Haul, that is. "Long Haul. Your abilities are required. My patient requires assistance being seated."

Long Haul looks up at Soundwave, then down at Wildrider, arms crossed. "What? He can't figure out how to do it himself?" The transporter shrugs and plods over to Wildrider and crosses his arms once more as he faces off with the Stunticon. "Y'gonna sit down, or am I gonna have to 'help' ya?" He gets to bully a Stunticon, and has High Command's backing! This /is/ a good day!

Wildrider eyes Long Haul. This 'structie he can't get along with. Hell, Wildrider can't get along with most people. He shrugs his shoulder and waves his hand towards the constructicon. "Don't touch me with those dirty dirt haulin hands ya low rez play thing for Hook. I can sit my own skidplate down on the chair." he says gruffly. Motormaster would be pleased. Wildrider stomps towards Soundwave and says, "I'll play your game for now Soundwave. Just no funny stuff, or Motormaster will come calling if he finds out we're minus one stunticon." Empty threat.

"You ain't seated yet," growls Long Haul, ignoring the rather bizarre taunt.

Soundwave is Galvatron's trusted accomplice who has achieved a grand victory, whereas Motormaster has done.. what exactly? Soundwave thinks he'll go through that visit okay. He ignores Wildrider's threat as he waits for him to be seated.

Wildrider looks behind him and says, "I'm getting there, I'm getting there! Hold yer energon." He hops down onto the ward bed and looks up at Soundwave. "My breaking system needs a bit of adjustment, it doesn't work. Hehe, not that I care." he says with a grin on his red faceplate.

"Your breaking system is not important." The tape lord drones in his monotonous voice as he approaches the bed. Not giving Wildrider a chance to object, Soundwave grasps his hands at his side. "Hold him down." He quickly says to Long Haul. "Secure him." With Soundwave holding the rest of Wildrider in place, that leaves Long Haul with only a single foot to deal with.

Long Haul may not like Soundwave, but he'll gladly play 'menacing goon' for him if the menace-ee happens to be a component part of Menasor. The dump truck nods and heads to the foot of the bed, reaching to grasp Wildrider's foot and force it into the restraint.

Soundwave continues to secure the Stunticon. Ignoring whatever squirming or objections his patient may have. After a brief struggle, Soundwave has clamped down Wildrider's arms, feet and head. "Before we begin." The tape lord intones. "Explain." Soundwave brings a monitor secured by an overhead arm directly above Wildrider's face. He presses a button on a nearby console, which plays a picture of, well, Wildrider, entering a factory, placing a bomb and abandoning his emblem.

Wildrider blinks and shakes his head, if he can. Considering his head is secure as well, he just twitches a little. "Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!" he says with a shreak. "I didn't do it! I wasn't there!" he says quickly. "It's a trick of light off of venus filtered through swamp gas! That's not me!"

With Wildrider secured, Long Haul backs away and trudges towards the door. Sure, he's not likely to get away, but hey, it's as good a place to wait for further orders (or to be dismissed) from as any. He crosses his arms once more and remains silent. If he hadn't had a couple of lines earlier, one might even have thought this was one of those episodes where they didn't feel like bringing in his voice talent or something (like all those episodes where Hook and/or Scrapper are the only Constructicons to get any speaking lines! Grrrrrr!)

"Very well." Soundwave drones in response. "The truth must be uncovered." And with that, Soundwave activates his little-known Telepathic abilities. Well, first of all he takes care of a potential witness. "Long Haul. Guard the exit. Ensure noone enters." With that, the tape lord stands at the head of his bed, placing both of his hands on the side of his head.. entering a place that would send a shudder down the supporting beam of even the most staunchest of Decepticons: The conciousness of a Stunticon.

Long Haul shrugs. Good thing he was near the door to begin with! He stands by to ensure that no one exits through the entrance. Wait. Strike that. He plods just outside the door to make no one enters through the exit. There we go. Much better.

Wildrider looks up with red optics towards Soundwave who now hovers above him. He cackles, "That tickles...ooooh!" Wildrider goes oddly silent as he feels a presence in his mind. Well, there's one in there now at least. His mind is like an open book now, since his mind is so messed up it couldn't begin to put up any mental blocks against Soundwave's intrusions.

Soundwave almost wishes for mental blocks to be put up. Some idea of where to go, what electric pulses mean what. It's a difficult maze to follow, the mind of a madman. Soundwave should know, he's seen the mind of Galvatron himself. He pushes further in his search.. for recent memories, for things that he could be guilty of.

Wildrider twitches and giggles as Soundwave makes his way though the back alleyways of his head. It's not a nice place to be. But there it is, a blip of memory in the time index Soundwave is looking for. Wildrider wasn't even in Carbombya when all this happened. He was riding through the middle east with the rest of the stunticons causing all kind of havoc and messing with some camels while doing it too.

Long Haul ... is effectively not in the room through all this. For all Soundwave and Wildrider know, he could be playing tidily-winks outside the door to medical. This is not likely, however.

Finally. Now Soundwave can get the hell out of there. He releases his hands, breaking the connection. He usually departs the mind of another with a more 'delicate' method, but Soundwave wanted to break free as soon as he possibly could, leaving a sudden feeling of a door being slammed shut in both of their minds.. as if something there was immediately replaced with.. a void. A chilling feeling, but better than spending another astrosecond in there. "He has spoken the truth." The Soundwave drones in his monotonous voice. "Long Haul. Return and free him." And to show that Soundwave is a sport, he will even help with the monotonous work, loosening the clamps to the Stunticon's head and arms.

Wildrider grins to himself, though most likely he's totally out of it right now. "Ooooh, can I have another energon cube Megatron?" he says. As a reaction to having something ripped out of his mind, his mind forces him to relive some of his old memories. He slowly brightens his optics and says weakly, "Hey...you're not megatron. Ooh, why does it feel like my head's got a sledge hammer on it? Did you use a sledge hammer on me?"

Decepticon Goon Long Haul looks towards the door at his back when he's called for and shrugs, plodding back into the room. Long Haul, actually, happens to be an /expert/ at monotonous work, just usually of a different type. He loosens the restraints a trifle reluctantly - ah, well, it was fun while it lasted - making sure to handle Wildrider a bit roughly for that 'dirty dirt hauling hands' comment.

Soundwave doesn't dignify Wildrider's question with a response. "You are cleared of all accusations. Return to your regularly scheduled duty." He doesn't care about comments, no matter how true they are. But that doesn't mean that another Constructicon/Stunticon grudge shouldn't happen on his account. "I will report on my findings briefly." A pause. A loooong pause. "Long Haul. Your assistance was.. appreciated." WTF? Soundwave doesn't give the assman a chance to respond, leaving the medical room immediately.

Shortly after, Kitbash, one of the on-duty technicians, pokes his head in again. "Is it safe?" he meekly asks.

Soundwave has disconnected.

Wildrider has disconnected.

For the record, Long Haul hasn't been hauling anything for the last two weeks, thank you very much! The Constructicon looks after Soundwave as he gives his thanks, radiating vague bafflement. When Kitbash shows up he just shrugs. "Sure, yeah," he grumbles and then trudges off to get back to rebuilding that refinery Wildrider didn't blow up.

Soundwave is sitting, virtually motionless, in a console in Trypticon's Command Centre.

"Fortunately Wildrider did not flee the Empire after publically being accused of treason by commander Scourge. Lord Galvatron. I can assure you that the Stunticon is not responsible for the explosion. Whoever was responsible has the ability to disuise themself as Wildrider. I also request a discussion with you about security and disclosure policies.

"HOWEVER. The infiltration of an imitation Decepticon is concerning. Scrapper. While the factory is destroyed our energon output is not at maximum potential. I am filing a priority request for the factory to be rebuilt. DCI. Double all border patrols."

Soundwave has one final matter to mention. "Full commendations to Long Haul for assisting in Wildrider's examination. For his efforts he recieves a double-ration of Carbombyan energon. Soundwave out."

Soundwave fades out. The spinny fades back.
