Nightsiege Spaceport

The spaceport is as pristine as the rest of the city, but it's here that you start getting your strongest indications of the sheer military presence that's housed in the Aerospace Headquarters to the north. The spaceport is divided into two distinct sections, as about a third of it is set aside for a small amount of civilian traffic and trade, and the rest is in constant motion as the patrols and strike-forces for the Decepticon Aerospace fleet scramble from one of the two landing strips. A huge stylized tower, dignified at worst and awe inspiring at best, rises over the landing strips, orchestrating all the traffic. Large hangars divide the spaceport physically. Positioned at all entrances to the spaceport are the best of the Decepticon's security troops, who, someday hope to ascend to the ranks of Aerospace.

Fly <Up> leads to Sky above Nightsiege.

North <N> leads to Outskirts of Imperial Headquarters.

 East <E> leads to Courtyard.

<Cybertron> An autobot signal, heavily coded, begins outside of Iahex near Mangaron east.

<Decepticon> Scourge says, "All patrols, report status."

<Decepticon> Geist says, "Geist and Fleet reporting. Negative contact. Nothing out of the ordinary."

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Huhh. Me Grimlock know you Decepticons spot signal. Now me want to know, you cowards going to try and start real battle with me?"

<Decepticon> Scourge says, "Understood.  All available personnel not already on duty, report to the spaceport."

<Decepticon> Long Haul grunts, "Not on patrol, sir, but I think I can lend a hand." Oh boy! A battle! Nevermind that he's /supposed/ to be helping to build the space fleet...

<Decepticon> Arachnae says, "Well now.. I am on duty, but I am available, Scourge..."

<Decepticon> Chimera says, "On my way."

<Cybertron> Swoop says, "Decepticons no respond. Me, Swoop, say they have yellow back supports!"

Long Haul is already here. Because he was doing his job. Hauling scrap here, where the fleet was being built. But now he transforms, dumping his current load of materials where he stands and awaiting the others, only containing his excitement by virtue of his expressionless face. Now, at last, the chance to prove himself! And none of his annoying brothers around to get in the way of him showing his true metal as a warrior!

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Decepticons WEAK. Me, Grimlock say we find /real/ opponent worth fighting. Wheelie, maybe."

<Cybertron> Rodimus Prime says, "Grimlock, Swoop, shut it!"

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "What? They know where we are."

<Cybertron> Arachnae says, "Depending on structural design and layout, factorning in both primary and secondary functions, there is the distinct possibility that yellow primer has been used on any number of mechanisms back supportive structures. You are in error if you somehow believe that that is an insult, you miscreated aerial abomination."

<Cybertron> Scourge says, "How nice to see that the Dinobots have become the diplomatic entourage for the Autobot cause... did we gut out so many of your previous envoys that this is all the Autobots have left?  It certainly sounds like it... oh, no, Rodimus.  By all means, let them continue.  Their mindless grasps at lucidity, I find amusing."

Chimera is a warrior. Of a sort. Nothing like having been special ops, and now being a regular. And of course she's been doing.. uh... paperwork somewhere.

Chimera arrives. And just stares at random people.

Arachnae arrives from the Outskirts of Imperial Headquarters to the north.

Arachnae has arrived.

Scourge arrives from the Outskirts of Imperial Headquarters to the north.

Scourge has arrived.

Arachnae pads into the spaceport, wings flicking behind her as she turns to await Scourge's arrival. Some semblence of a smile adorns her face.

Chimera continues to stare at random people, once she's arrived. Because... well... she's not quite... sure if she's happy to be called away from other duties, or perturbed that they were interrupted.

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Me, Grimlock bet that seat you sitting in in IHQ while you insult me very comfortable, Scourge. Me wouldn't know, me here in battlefield. Where /real/ warriors are."

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "You not know anything about that, do you? No. Cut from same metal sheet as Cyclonus and Galvatron. Run away like coward mechs from me."

<Cybertron> Arachnae says, "Blah blah blah, ever consider learning a new line of dialogue, Grimlock?"

<Cybertron> Swoop says, "Me, Swoop, rule skies. Sweeps and Seekers bumbling fools in air. Me, Swoop, fly circles around you, Scourge!"

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "No. Too busy kicking Decepticon tail to worry about lines."

<Cybertron> Scourge says, "Oh, but Arachnae, that would imply the Dinobots have a single silicon chip between them all as a CPU, and they certainly don't have that."

<Cybertron> Chimera says, "Can it, you tin lizards."

<Cybertron> Arachnae says, "Now now, Scourge, They have to have at least one.. They can walk.."

The wait is not too long, it seems, as Scourge arrives soon after Arachnae. "Two Dinobots and Rodimus himself out in the field... pity. The more for me to gut, I suppose." A malicious, feral grin appears on his face, and he leaps up. "Come, Decepticons... we have prey to hunt."

Scourge seems to fold in on himself as he shifts and contorts into the visage of the Sweep-Flagship, complete with nifty sound effects.

<Cybertron> Swoop says, "Me, Swoop, at least built from stronger material than Seekers."

Arachnae gives a shake of her head as she leaps upwards, wings folding in around her as she transforms into her alternate form.

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Hurrr. Me, Grimlock glad to have proper education on getting new lines. Calling me stupid. Never heard that before. We going to do this all cycle or you going to show you have strut support for change?"

Hunting. Hooray!

Chimera just follows the leader, because she's built that way. Tadah.

Chimera jumps up, and folds into a pyramid jet.

<Cybertron> Arachnae says, "Let me be the judge of that."

Long Haul doesn't transform. Because dump trucks don't fly very well. He does jump clumsily into the air, however, flying behind the others as best he can, eager to prove himself in the upcoming battle.

Arachnae receives a long-range radio transmission from Airwolf.

* Spinny! *

Magnaron East

To the east of the Lake are more ragged, ripped hills, torn into Cybertron's crust by the impact of Unicron's colossal pincer, but less damaged than the north and south edges. Even so, the thin metal crust rippled violently like storm-tossed waves before being torn by the mighty forces that hit it. The resulting hills have the appearance of a number of fairly regular swells marred by various minor and major rips in the metal, producing canyons both large and small. Protruding out of a sheer wall of one such canyon is the start of the New Cybertronian highway, which continues towards the east.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) descends from the Sky above Magnaron Lake above.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) has arrived.

Green Pyramid Jet descends from the Sky above Magnaron Lake above.

Green Pyramid Jet has arrived.

Rodimus Prime grumbles. He knows that stopping Grimlock would take an act of primus, so it's at this point he just does not care. No matter, the convoy is nearly here and passed anyway. If the cons happen to show up now, he'd be surprised.

Swoop is circling in the skies above Rodimus.

Blurr isn't actually here, yet. But when he shows up, everyone will definitely know.

<Decepticon> Arachnae says, "Understood, Airwolf."

Grimlock is now almost completely convinced that nothing is going to happen. But that doesn't stop him from weilding his energon sword all the same. "Nothing happening... shame they all cowards." He says to noone in particular. Just one final taunt.. yeah, that'll top things off nicely...

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "You Decepticons boring me. Me, Grimlock sorry to disrupt your cowering, be on my way now."

<Cybertron> Arachnae says, "Short attention span theatre is now over."

Well, then... time for the Autobot Commander to be surprised.

Scourge doesn't exactly like to let challenges go unanswered, after all. Fortunately, he wasn't stupid enough to come out alone... he'll leave that sort of errant stupidity for Blot. And behind him are several others who seem intent on crashing the party... belatedly, perhaps, but you know what they say: better late than never.

Arcing downwards like a raptor diving to snatch its' prey, Scourge drops down towards the ground, readying to open fire...

Voidcraft (Arachnae) spent the trip flying over behind Scourge to his left. Engines are at a nominal rumble, wings canted in athmospheric flight angles. And internally, she's smiling wryly about several things all at once.

As the lead craft peels off for a gound assault, the VoidCraft peels away from that line of flight, breaking into a tight circle, seeking out the one that decided to compare itself to a real aerial warrior.

Green Pyramid Jet would be somewhere behind Arachnae, quiet for a change. Or as usual. You decide. She's apparantly decided that being taken away from paperwork for today is an annoyance. and will be delighted to use the stapler in creative and unusual ways.

Long Haul is fashionably late! Mostly because he's a much slower flier than the others. But he's here! Mostly because it gets him out of hauling scrap and listening to Hook for a little while. As soon as he nears the battlefield he comes in for a graceless landing. This dump-truck will be keeping his feet on the ground as much as possible, thank you very much! He has his pitiful laser out, but really, he'll be closing to melee at earliest opportunity.

Whelp, when you're wrong you're wrong. And Grimlock is wrong. "Maybe they not ALL cowards after all." He says as his galaxial rocket launcher materlializes in his free hand. "Okay, Swoop, show dumb sweeps how we fight. Rodimus, you have Scourge. Me, Grimlock can defeat Cyclonus before he run away, not going to bother with worse fighter than him. Maybe try.." And there it is, a flash of lime green amongst the blues of the sweeps and the green of the seeker. "..Constructicon." Grimmy continues an age-old tradition of Dinobots hating Constructicons by sending out an energy blast from his rocket launcher to Long Haul.

Grimlock strikes you with Missile Launcher! (High Energy Blast) for 8 points of damage.

Rodimus Prime sighs seeing the Decepticons. Well, just when he expects them not to show, they show. It's like the party crashers you love to hate and hate to love. Rodimus says, "Great, just great!" He clicks on his radio and says, "Convoy, get your pipes in high gear, we've got company!" Rodimus pulls from subspace his photon eliminator in a brilliant flash of white light and feels a little more assured he can deliver death if it's needed. And it's needed right now. He points his weapon up at the closest incoming decepticon, Scourge, and fires off a blast of energy that strips the electrons from the very air. What it'll do to armor plating is even worse.

Rodimus Prime strikes Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> with Photon Eliminator <Low>.

Blurr has disconnected.

Pteranodon <Swoop> banks around as the Decepticons finally crash the party, his wings flapping a few times to help get him up to speed. "Me, Swoop, can handle flyers. Me, Swoop, turn up heat." he says, as he bears down on his first choice, Arachnae, letting out a shriek. His beak opens and he unleashes a tongue of flame towards her.

Pteranodon <Swoop> strikes Voidcraft (Arachnae) with Dino Breath.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> anticipated the shot, and opted to dodge left of the incoming shot... unfortunately, Rodimus was the better anticipator, and as such, there is now some nice carbon scoring on Scourge's hull, and the Sweepcraft jolts a bit before settling back down. "And so it begins... the hunt will claim you this day, Rodimus Prime. Prepare for termination!" And he opens fire, raining death and destruction (well, okay, it's actually just plasma blasts) down on the Autobot leader.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> strikes Rodimus Prime with Disintegrator Ray.

Voidcraft (Arachnae)'s engines let out a shrill whine-screech as she banks sharply, target now in her sights. Then the target attacks, not quite unexpectedly. Engines rise in rumbling as she dives, the flames scorching the undercarriage of the craft, trailing wisps of thin smoke that dissipate almost as fast as it came into being. The craft appears singed but not out for the count.

"Here, abomination.... Let me show you a few things about flying." The craft lets forth with a volly of its own, fletchette rounds designed to rip into targets spitting out of weapons ports and forth into the sky, aimed at Swoop.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) misses Pteranodon <Swoop> with her Fletchette Rounds attack.

Green Pyramid Jet is actually an animation error. She's not really here, due to the weaknesses and idiocy of a certain person behind the keyboard. Unfortunately this means she'll get to miss out on the fun.

Green Pyramid Jet vanishes out of reality.

Green Pyramid Jet has left.

Grimlock just favorably compared Long Haul to Cyclonus? Long Haul would have been flattered, had he been close enough to really hear. He takes Grimlock's attack right in the chest, but it does little more than scorch his lovely lime green paint job. Dammit! They've got limited stores of that stuff! It may not be bright, but Long Haul's going to go toe to toe with Grimlock because hey, the fact that Grimmy's chosen him as a target over Scourge has him feeling pretty good about himself! But to do that, he must first close the distance, so he runs in the dinobot's direction, firing his pathetic laser as he approaches.

You have set the custom name for attack laser in mode 1 to "Pathetic Laser."

You strike Grimlock with Pathetic Laser.

Rodimus Prime rolls through the plasma strikes to come up on his knee. The disintegrator blasts nail him on his back causing the armor there to hiss and pop with peeling metal. Rodimus winces at the pain going through his system, but he knows it's only minor damage right now. Nothing that some buffing couldn't fix. He calls up to the sweep, "You want to hunt me sweep? Come and get me!" He fires off a few lower powered blasts from his weapon while still holding his ground. It'll take more than that to dislodge Prime from his spot.

Rodimus Prime strikes Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> with Photon Eliminator <Warning Shot>.

Grimlock wasn't going to bother with dodging the attack.. a few singe marks on his frame before the enemy approaches and they can do battle proper is no metal grindings off his olfactory module. "Shame your brothers not here." he says, taking aim and firing once more as he slowly walks toward the Constructicon. "But me, Grimlock give you message for them."

You evade Grimlock's Missile Launcher! (Low Energy Blast) attack.

Pteranodon <Swoop> is observant enough to be ready for the return shot, and performs a barrel roll to avoid the flechette rounds as they whizz past him, striking nothing but air. With a quick twist and thruster burn, he pulls around to bear on Arachnae once more. "Me, Swoop, think your lesson need work. Here better one." His optics start to glow, and they unleash a pair of laser beams that sizzle towards the Decepticon flyer.

Pteranodon <Swoop> misses Voidcraft (Arachnae) with his Evil Eye attack.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> growls, transforming as he slams into the ground, one knee on the ground and looking up as several electrical arcs cascade over his body, scoring his armor further. Slowly, he looks up at Prime, optics narrowed in hatred. "Famous last words, Autobot... but since you seem so ready for me, then you must be prepared for oblivion." With that, he starts to charge Rodimus, the haft of his energy-scythe materializing out of subspace as he comes running at him. "Time to join your former leader!" And he leaps, his arm whipping down and back up like an uppercut, with the energy-scythe lighting up into its' full luminescent glory, the blade sizzling as it reaches up to slice through the Autobot commander's chest...

The Sweep-Flagship seems to explode outwards as it shifts and contorts into the visage of Scourge, complete with nifty sound effects.

Scourge misses Rodimus Prime with its Slice-N-Dice attack.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) chuckles to herself even as the fletchettes seem to fly wide and far, missing the target entirely. "Interesting choice of volley's, you flying misfit." The crafts engines whine-rumble as she peels off of her flight path, neatly overflying the weaponsfire coming her way. "However, I think I'll just play with you a little bit more. Wouldn't want to make this too short as I rather enjoy toying with my targets." The leading edge of her wings glows with a flickering brilliance before qa series of lightning-like strikes sing outwards with that taint of ozone.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) strikes Pteranodon <Swoop> with electricity.

Long Haul dodges? No, not leaking likely. More likely, Grimlock just missed, or Long Haul just got lucky and happened to stumble at just the right moment or something else along those lines. Nimble and Long Haul are words that shouldn't even be allowed in the same room with each other. Nor is he fast, but he has managed to close the distance with the larger robot. Had he a mouth he'd be grinning as he swings his fist. "I'll be sure to pass that on." Well, sooner or later he probably would be hitting or firing at his brothers over something. That's the way the Constructicons are.

You strike Grimlock with Fists of Green.

Rodimus Prime assumes a fighting stance more suited for hand to hand. Looking like a cross between Jackie-chan and Bruce Lee he whoops while going into a back flip or two and landing in a crouched position. He looks up towards Scourge and says, "Scourge, you're about to be cut down a notch or two!" He pushes off towards the sweep and brings his fist back for a wide swing. His fist retracts and a short pole with a blade extends. The blade splits into three blades, all equidistant from each other. They begin to give a high pitched burrrrring sound as a saw blade comes to life where his hand once was. Yes, it's 'THE' saw blade folks. The FISHKILLER! He takes a few more wide strides towards Scourge and with his mouth open in a silent roaring battle cry, he swings the spinning tri-saw blade of death around and across.

Rodimus Prime misses Scourge with his hand buzz saw of doom attack.

"No." Grimlock responds as Haulie's fist makes a respectable dent in his dense hull. "That not message. THIS message." And with that, Grimlock returns his missile launcher to subspace. He swings his powerful fist down and then up, aiming to land right on Long Haul's mouth. Err. Faceplate.

Grimlock strikes you with Dino Uppercut! for 15 points of damage.

Pteranodon <Swoop> stiffens for a moment as Arachnae's bolts slam into him, his wings flairing straight out, and a shriek escaping from his maw. With a shake of his head to clear it, he recovers, pulls up, then rolls into a dive towards Arachnae, his wings flapping furiously. "Me, Swoop, play for keeps!" he says, and with a click, his missile launchers arm and unleash a pair of projectiles that home in on the Decepticon.

Pteranodon <Swoop> misses Voidcraft (Arachnae) with his Dinobot Greeting Card attack.

Oops. Obviously, Scourge is not nearly master of the subtle as he thought. But he kicks in his anti-gravs to lift higher and twist around as Rodimus makes his swing, extinguishing his energy-scythe and tucking it back into subspace in favor of something else. A lumberjack, Rodimus is not. "Tsk tsk... luck has been with you thus far, but no longer. Fortune favors the bold, as they say. And I will prove to be no exception to the rule." From subspace, his rifle is produced, and he fires, unleashing a hail of projectiles towards his prey.

Scourge misses Rodimus Prime with its Incendiary-Cannon attack.

Well, if this keeps up, Long Haul may very well have a mouth before the battle is over with! He stumbles back at Grimlock's strike, a big dent in his faceplate where a mouth would be. Any snappy comeback he would have made is cut off, but since we're talking Long Haul here, we're not losing out on anything, and instead he just grunts, "Will you just shut up and fight!" as he attempts a gut punch against the other (can't reach too much higher).

You strike Grimlock with Anti-Grimmy Gutpunch.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) would chuckle if she wen't focused so much on avoiding the return fire from Swoop. She's simply having a moment where focus is needed. Violence doesn't usually come naturally for her. "Now now, I don't think that Prime would like it if you brought me home." Light tone as the craft knifes upwards in a sudden pull for the stars. A moment, another and she dives back down, weapons ports opening to spit forth a trio of laser beams in return.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) strikes Pteranodon <Swoop> with Laser (Tribeam).

Rodimus Prime continues running, even though Scourge has disappeared from his sights. He knows that Scourge's counter is coming, and if he runs faster than Scourge is tracking him with the weapon, then he's dodged. Rodimus does just that feeling the projectiles exploding or glancing off the hard metal ground right behind him. He calls out, "Awww, common Scourge, ya ain't sackin me this time!" He does a little hop into the air to get some height and does a cute spin in mid air, if only to take a pot shot at the sweep. Rodimus uses the thumb selector to well, select a new setting on the weapon, then fires. Instead of a narrow beam of energy this time, it fires in a large flash of disorientating light. Much like putting your face up to high beams and turning them on suddenly. Same idea. Rodimus then lands facing scourge and skids to a halt while hoping it did something productive.

Rodimus Prime strikes Scourge with his Photon Burst attack.

Grimlock keels slightly from the gutpunch. "Oh? Me, Grimlock thought you Decepticons liked talk. You talked plenty on open frequency before you start fight.. too scared maybe." Grimmy follows that retort up with introducing mister Haul to mister big-honkin' energon sword. Grimmy lunges hit down where Long Haul was standing. Maybe he can use it to carve a mouth into his faceplate.

You evade Grimlock's Energon Sword Stab! attack.

Pteranodon <Swoop> is again struck by Arachnae's weapons, and the beams leave scorch marks on his back. As he banks around, he lets out another shriek. "Me, Swoop, find out what Decepticon taste like!" he says, as he barrels down towards the flying Decepticon, beak wide open, wings flapping, fully intent on ripping a chuck out of her hide.

Pteranodon <Swoop> misses Voidcraft (Arachnae) with his Long chomp attack.

Scourge smirks, even as Rodimus maneuvers out of the rain of ballistic projectiles he had fired at the Autobot leader. Herd the prey where you want them, and then strike swiftly and true. He raises his rifle, preparing to fire... and suddenly finds himself blinded by the flash. "Aaaauugh!" He shifts his optics to try and protect his sight, but the time spent doing so keeps him from trying to press the attack any further for the time being.

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "This the best you got?"

Long Haul stumbles back in surprise as Grimlock lunges and is thus, through luck and clumsiness, able to avoid meeting Mr. Big-Honkin' Energon Sword. "Didja' hear me over that thing? No! 'Cause I had better things to do!" Like hauling scrap! Yes, even hauling scrap is better than chit-chatting with Grimlock over broadband. He swings his truck-bed right-foot in a kick, not aiming for any spot in particular (because, y'know, we're all robots, and don't have any organs in any groin areas) beyond, ‘Somewhere on Grimlock.’

Grimlock evades your Dump Truck Foot attack.

Voidcraft (Arachnae) wingovers with an agility borne from years of running away from Sweeps, effectivly putting herself below and ahead of the flying dinobot.Engines brighten with a sudden brilliance, wings cant backwards and the hull splits as she transforms. Forearm blades extend as she hovers, studies the movement of the dinobot before she launches herself upwards, aiming to sink blades into the underside of the flying pteranodon. "Sorry, no free lunch today."

Arachnae strikes Pteranodon <Swoop> with evisceration.

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Hey! Scourge!"

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Me, Grimlock fighting Constructicon who think he have more important things to do than you!"

<Cybertron> Arachnae says, "Hey Grimlock, wanna see what Swoops insides look like? Look up!"

<Cybertron> Rodimus Prime says, "Same goes with Scourge's, you wanted them extra crispy right?  Or original recipe?"

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Hurr. You have more important things to do than her too, Constructicon?"

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Well?"

Scrapper descends from the Sky above Magnaron Lake above.

Scrapper has arrived.

Rodimus Prime grins with a nasty gleam and twinkle in his sky blue optics. He does not charge the helpless sweep, because he's still up in the air. Rodimus does a quick check on his weapon, it's still ok. He's only fired a few shots. Rodimus says, "I've got you..." then lifts his photon eliminator switching it to the second highest setting. To him, a sure kill. He fires the weapon sending a brilliant beam of electron stripping energy towards the blinded decepticon second in command.

Rodimus Prime strikes Scourge with Photon Eliminator <Medium>.

Grimlock does indeed look up as per Arachnae's suggestion. Which is probably why Long Haul misses him. Grimmy is that sluggish that not bothering to dodge is probably going to speed him up. Don't ask him how that works, he's no scientician. "Good to see you have nothing more important than get pounded to scrap, now." He responds, in whatever the Dinobot version of wit is. Grimlock decides to keep his optic visor on Arachnae some more, swatting aside Long Haul with a powerful backhand from his empty fist.

Grimlock strikes you with Fist-assisted Bludgeon! for 12 points of damage.

Pteranodon <Swoop> lets out a shriek as the blades tear into his underside, ripping away bits of armor, leaving several holes that slowly leak various fluids. "Me, Swoop, done playing! Me, Swoop, finish this for good!" He winces in obvious pain, but he's not down for the count yet. He rolls around and brings his clawed feet into position to return the favor on the Decepticon, intent on exposing some of her internal parts to open air.

Pteranodon <Swoop> misses Arachnae with his Claw attack.

Scourge's vision finally returned to him, optics narrowed... and then almost immediately widened. "Oh slag," he mutters, and then he's catapulted backwards from Rodimus's fire, slamming into the ground several meters distant. Now, he's starting to look like said slag... and we aren't talking Dinobot, here. Yet, as if by sheer force of will, he begins to stand. "You... will... DIE!" And he transforms, launching forward as fast as possible to try and return the favor.

Scourge seems to fold in on himself as he shifts and contorts into the visage of the Sweep-Flagship, complete with nifty sound effects.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> misses Rodimus Prime with its Collision attack.

Long Haul is struck hard across the non-face by Grimlock's fist, causing him to stumble back several paces. He shakes his head. Shakes his head again. That may have knocked a processing card loose. Good thing he doesn't do much thinking, anyway! He stumbles back several more paces and, as he has no ultra-witty response to Grimlock, just GHAS! "Will you QUIT TALKING!" He falls forward and transforms, trying to ram the "clever" chatter out of the dinobot in dump truck form.

Long Haul folds in on himself and transforms into a dump truck.

You strike Grimlock with Shut-Up Grimlock!.

Oh dear, it appears Grimlock is dealing with an angry little Constructicon. Who doesn't want Grimlock to keep on talking. Hehehehehe. This looks like fun. "What wrong with me, Grimlock talking?" The Dinobot asks in a mock-innocent voice as Long Haul mows him down. He reaches down with his energon sword, low enough to fit beneath the underbody of Long Haul's truck form. Wait for it... "Me Grimlock can talk when me want to! Nothing wrong with friendly discussion." Grimmy makes his timing juuust right, hopefully sliding his blade under the Dump Truck, lifting it up to flip the Truck on its side.

Grimlock succeeds in grasping Dump Truck <Long Haul>, throwing him off-balance.

Rodimus Prime smirks at the oncoming Scourge, "We all die Scourge. Just not today!" Rodimus transforms into his pimped out ride. His form grows slightly and begins to roar to life on all six of its wheels. The semi-rig rolls towards the sweepcraft with smoke belching out each of its six exhaust pipes. With a mighty blast from its horn, the flaming red semi-rig has its headlights and bumper set on the charging sweep-flagship.

Rodimus Prime falls forward. His arms compress and fold backward as a trailer comes out of subspace to connect with the back of his legs. Where the vanguard of the autobots once was, a tricked out flaming semi-rig appears.

Cybertronian Semi Rig misses Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> with his Winnebago Smackdown! attack.

Scrapper is flying with that wonderful purple wing he can pull out of nowhere and somehow looks to be in a rather sour mood, despite having no obvious way of expressing himself in this form. Well, his shovel is down in a bit of menacing way. That might be it. He touches down on the outskirts of the battle, evidently looking rather intently for something... or someone.

Arachnae spins, wings flareing out behind her as she ducks backwards, dancing in the air away from those claws attempting to rend her own frame, "tsk tsk... But I still wanna play." Wings snap out behind her, brightening lights dancing on the interior panels before a series of chain-linked lightning strikes singe forward. "Come on, play a little more?"

Arachnae strikes Pteranodon <Swoop> with Chain Lightning.

Pteranodon <Swoop> is once again slammed by energy bolts from Arachnae, but like the Dinobot he is, he just keeps on coming. With another roll, he banks around towards the Decepticon, taking aim once again. "You want to play? Me, Swoop, play." His missile launchers arm once again, and unleash another pair of projectiles at Arachnae.

Pteranodon <Swoop> strikes Arachnae with Dinobot Greeting Card.

<Decepticon> Arachnae says, "You deal with the Autobots Scourge, I have better things to spend my time on than playing aerial tag with a miscreated cretin."

Arachnae gets clocked head on with the set of missiles, the impact enough to send her flipping heels over head several times. Once she rights herself.. She looks.. rather.. pissed off.. But instead of leaning back into the fray, letting loose with anything else, she transforms and without another word to her 'dance' partner, ignites engines and streaks off, looking perhaps none the worse for the wear save for light scoring along re-entry plating.

Arachnae begins retreating, leaving herself vulnerable to parting shots from Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>>.

Arachnae has disconnected.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> grumbles as he misses his chance to run Rodimus down, but then he hears transforming and the revving of a semi. That is never a Good Thing <tm>, and he's not about to see what might happen there. Instead, he jerks up, twisting around in a corkscrew pattern as he ascends towards space... long enough to bank sharply to the right... coming back. Scourge must be blinded by his fury at this point... and he is. It's time, it appears, for overkill, as a nasty streak of light arcs out from underneath the sweepcraft towards Rodimus.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> strikes Cybertronian Semi Rig with Quantum Torpedo.

Dump Truck <Long Haul> lands hard on his side and rocks a bit. Ouch, that hurt. He doesn't have a response to Grimlock's taunts because, well, just trying to work through them is making his brain all hurty! OW! Forgetting for the moment that if he just transformed he could easily right himself, he instead engages the rockets of his dump truck mode. It's a bad angle of attack, but hey, maybe he'll get lucky!

You strike Grimlock with And You Still Won't Shut UP! Gha!.

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "Swoop, where your educator in flying go?"

<Cybertron> Swoop says, "Me, Swoop, not know. Maybe me, Swoop, scare off."

<Cybertron> Grimlock says, "But Decepticons supposed to be such better than us, show us all how to fight. Me, Grimlock, confused!"

<Cybertron> Swoop says, "Me, Swoop, confused too. Want to finish fight!"

Rodimus Prime has disconnected.

Scrapper spots what he was looking for - a bright bit of lime green getting itself into a jam. He transforms, a quick, curt motion and glowers at his brother. Scrapper shakes a fist and demands, "And just where is my shipment of titanium-steel? You know, that shipment that was supposed to be in... oh, astrohours ago? That one that you were supposed to bring?" Oh yes, there's a battle going on, but that can wait, can't it? He has building to do!

The payloader unfolds into robotic form. His lower legs rotate away, revealing his upper legs. His arms come out from his side. His shovel flips onto his back. Finally, his head emerges from his torso, completing the transformation.

Grimlock sure ain't about to shut up, not for some slaghole Constructicon. He lets a small "Ut!" Escape his vocalizer as the rockets hail on his armour, each leaving sizable dents. But while he is doing that.. he notices more green in the horizon. Hmm. "Not bothered by talking now? Okay, Me Grimlock continue." Grimlock transforms into his Densely-designed dinosaur-derived altform of a mechanical T-Rex. He trudges over to his Lime Green opponent, swinging his tail square at Long Haul. If Long Haul gets out of the way in time, Grimlock will just whack a large piece of debris instead. But either way, SOMETHING is getting hit in the direction of the only flying payloader to be coloured green, Scrapper.

Grimlock folds his legs up as his front falls down, wrapping himself in powerful Dino-armour, and once again becoming a powerful Mechanical T-Rex.

Grimlock unleashes his Dino Rampage! attack on Long Haul and Scrapper, striking Long Haul and Scrapper.

Silverbolt descends from the Sky above Magnaron Lake above.

Silverbolt has arrived.

Pteranodon <Swoop> slows to a hover, wings flapping, as Arachnae streaks off out of range. Furious that he can't finish his fight, he starts looking for another target to throttle. Seeing that the only flier left is Scourge, he'll have to do. Firing his thrusters and banking around, he opens his beak as he lines up with the Sweep, unleashing a blast of flame at him, planning to add Roast Decepticon to tonight's menu.

Pteranodon <Swoop> strikes Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> with Shake'n'Bake.

Silverbolt soars over the distance, only one thing stuck on his 'one-track' mind. Decepticons, once again persisting to stick their unwanted feet in the door. He does one quick run-by, just to get a handle on the situation. Whoa, looks like Scourge and a couple of Constructicons.

Dump Truck <Long Haul> is batted across the battlefield like a giant, lime-green, dump-truck shaped baseball, right into his brother. Ouch! He lays on his back on top of Scrapper for a moment in a bit of a daze before transforming and shaking his head, trying to crawl off of the sometime-payloader. As for trying to end the battle-chatter... it seems like he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't, but at the moment, he can't think to do anything but groan.

The dump truck stretches out and unfolds into Long Haul.

Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>> climbs back up from his torpedo fire at Rodimus to stay out of the blast radius, and arcs around, picking up Silverbolt as his turn progressed. A snarl of contempt, but time is fleeting, as is his energy. Kicking in his thrusters, he launches away from the conflict.

<Decepticon> Scourge says, "Enough of this!  Return to Nightsiege, all of you!"

Scourge retreats from the area swiftly, outdistancing all pursuit and parting shots.

Scrapper flails and immediately regrets ignoring that there was a battle on in favour of berating his brother. Where else but in a battle would he get said brother violently lobbed into him? He feels pretty crumpled, although Long Haul looks worse. Scrapper shoves off his brother roughly and growls, "That shipment better be intact." No, not a peep about the condition of Long Haul himself. If he wants to get himself beaten silly by playing at being a soldier, that's his own prerogative.

Silverbolt transmits a message via radio.

Scrapper begins retreating, leaving itself vulnerable to parting shots from Silverbolt, Mecha T-Rex <Grimlock>, Long Haul, Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>>, Pteranodon <Swoop>.

Long Haul begins retreating, leaving himself vulnerable to parting shots from Silverbolt, Scrapper, Mecha T-Rex <Grimlock>, Sweep-Flagship <<Scourge>>, Pteranodon <Swoop>.

Mecha T-Rex <Grimlock> smirks at the retreating Scourge and Constructicons. Well, he would if he was prone to smirking. And if he had a mouth with which to smirk. "See what I tell you, Swoop? They all cowards. Need to get MSE work on tethers."

Grimlock has disconnected.

Pteranodon <Swoop> watches as the remaining 'cons fly off. "Me, Swoop, think we taught them lesson!" he says, with a tone indicating he's rather proud of himself, despite the fact that Arachnae nearly handed his aft to him on a platter.

Convoy Raid                        Sun Feb 06    Scourge

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<< The Decepticon spinny appears, then is replaced by Scourge's visage... a rather battle-worn visage, at that >>

"Intercepting a transmission from an Autobot convoy apparently headed towards Iahex, I took Arachnae, Chimera, and Long Haul to claim the convoy as our own for more supplies for the effort. Chimera developed some sort of malfunction en route and had to return to base for repairs (OOC: I still wanna give Chim credit for coming out, even though she had to leave).

"Instead, we found Rodimus Prime, with Grimlock and another of his Dinobot lackeys. While we fought fiercely, we were forced to retreat when more Autobot reinforcements began to arrive, despite Scrapper's later arrival. However, we did no small damage to their forces in return. Rodimus Prime will take some time to recover from the wounds I inflicted upon him.

"While I am typically loathe to hand out any sort of... praise... I must admit that Long Haul did well to face Grimlock in single combat. The Seekers would do well to emulate such an example in the future. Now, I must tend to my repairs. Scourge out!"

<OOC Editor’s Note: Weee! Long Haul gets commended for his actions in combat! Happy Hauler! As a player, I just wish I had been able to log on during the following week and give the rest of the Constructicons grief over that business. ;) >
