You move northwest to the NCC Medical Ward.

NCC Medical Ward

The Crystal City repair bay is far larger than previous versions in Imperial Headquarters or Trypticon himself. Clearly it was designed by a medic, for a medic. The entire room is rectangular in nature with medical beds arranged in a neat grid pattern. The beds themselves vary, with some being precious little more than metal slabs, and others having full scanners and tools attached, as well as everything in between. In total, there are about twenty beds. There is room for more in an emergency situation. The cabinets line the walls, spaced out between medical terminals. Everything has a place, and organization is key. With battle mode being initiated, the huge windows are covered up as the bay is encased in metal for its own protection. Access can still be gained with the right codes, however. Red warning lights flash on and off.

Fleet steps in and looks around, searching for signs of green. One green robot is okay, but if there's more than one, he's ready to dart! When his optics register no lime-green at all he steps all the way in. He had been somewhat hoping for at least one, so that he could find out when Scrapper had scheduled his upgrade for, but while he is here, he may as well refuel before heading back out.

Soundwave is not green, but he /is/ sitting in front of a small workstation near the end of the medical bay. He is weilding a precision welding tool and working on some complicated circuitry. For all that it seems, the Tape Commander is not paying attention to the room he is in. But that's just how Soundwave likes it; not drawing attention to himself.

Fleet also likes not drawing attention to himself (which causes him to frequently question his paintjob!) but sometimes it's just unavoidable. As he moves from door to refueling station, he's forced to step back suddenly as a gumby, over laden with supplies, walks right in front of him. He avoids the gumby, but with his sudden movement, he knocks a tray of tools off a nearby workbench, clattering the tools all over the floor.

The noise of the tools on the solid metal ground as well as the sound of the tray they were resting on makes a resounding clang, enough to draw the attention of Papa Tape. Soundwave looks up from his work at the source of the noise, silently observing Fleet with his sinister crimson optic band.

Yeep! Oh, boy, that didn't go well at all! Fleet stands at attention before the DCI's High Command representative. "Ah! Sorry about that, sir!" For the moment, he manages to reign in all his usual twitches and other such nervous habits in order to stand perfectly still, eyes unfocused right over Soundwave's left shoulder instead of looking him in the optic band.

Good idea looking over the left shoulder, the right has a rocket launcher attached to it. Soundwave breaks his silent gazing... Oh, okay, he's staring for a little while longer... liiitle more.. and we're done. "What is your purpose in the medical ward." He asks in his monotonous voice.

"Was, erm, looking to see if Scrapper is in. He's not," Fleet has a tendency to state the obvious, "but I figured while I was here I'd go ahead and refuel before heading out on patrol." Fleet tends to be fairly truthful as Decepticons go, and when he does lie, the lies are careful and very close to the truth. This isn't due to any particular sense of honesty, but because not lying usually gives people less reason to want to hurt him. The seeker doesn't move as he speaks (outside of his mouth, of course), continuing to stand at attention and staring in that unfocused way.

Oh. /him/. Well, considering Fleet is talking to someone who is telepathic and able to pick up on the slightest nervous twinge in your voice, not lying is a good thing to do. "If you are scheduled for maintenance then delays will create future disruptions. Inform me of rostered maintenance." Soundwave stands up from his workstation.

Fleet ALWAYS have a nervous twinge to his voice! "Well, it's upgrade, actually. I'm up to date for the regularly scheduled stuff." As Soundwave stands up Fleet finally moves again, skampering back slightly. When his foot nudges the tray he knocked over earlier he remembers it and bends over to begin picking the tools back up.

Soundwave is pleased - he scary. That's how things are supposed to be in this empire, all the little people shit scared of Soundwave. Yeah, you know how it is. "When was rostering for the upgrade." He drones.

Oh, yes, like it's a real accomplishment to scare FLEET. Good job! Go, Soundwave! "Should have been about two nights ago. Or are you asking when it's scheduled for." Fleet, after all, is /not/ a telepath, and some of Soundwave's phraseology tends to be a bit odd. He finishes placing the tools on the tray, not even trying to put them back in order (because he doesn't know their order), and returns the tray to where it was before he knocked it off.
